Position Summary

The team member in this position will reconcile and enter inventory invoices by using 3-way match, perform check runs and reconcile vendor statements in a busy Accounts Payable department.

Key Responsibilities:

·     Maintain and reconcile un-invoiced inventory payables report

·     Resolve vendor issues in a professional and timely manner

·     Verify and reconcile purchase orders and accurately enter vendor invoices for payment

·     Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable records

·     Assist with vendor payments; Check Run, Wire Transfers, ACH, Credit Cards

·     Assist in month end processing to include, but not limited to creating reports and spreadsheets in Excel, mailing statements to our customers and reconciling General Ledger

·     Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

·     Assist with month-end closing process and mailing statements

·     Knowledge of Operations and Accounts Payable preferred or a combination of relevant experience in customer service, inventory control, operations and general accounting (Associates Degree in Business or Accounting a plus)

·     At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable in a fast-paced environment

·     Seeks and achieves continuous personal improvement and suggests new ideas that encourage personal, departmental, or company growth

Working Conditions:

·     Work is performed in an air-conditioned office

·     The person in this position should be able to remain in a seated position at a desk for long periods of time

·     Needs to move about inside the building to carry out assignments, including reaching, bending, pushing and pulling to access cabinets, file, use office machinery, etc.

·     Ascends/descends stairs frequently to carry out assignments

·     Frequently lifts, moves objects weighing up to 15 pounds.  May occasionally lift and/or move heavier objects.
