Position Summary
The Graphic Designer will design and create all marketing collateral on behalf of AquaCal AutoPilot products. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be creative, energetic and have an innovative mind set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design
    • Design layouts that reflect current brand standards, as directed from senior team members and instructed by manager
    • Create design concepts for projects based on project details provided and utilizing inhouse and stock photography
    • Design collateral including, but not limited to, brochures, catalogs, direct mail pieces, packaging, point of purchase displays, trade show displays, folders, posters, banners, flyers, eblasts, decals, vehicle wraps, social media posts, etc. as needed
    • Adhere to deadlines set in JIRA and correspond with project managers through the JIRA portal
    • Create and edit graphic elements such as logos, and convert graphic elements and/or images into correct file formats
    • Select colors, images, text style and layout that effectively convey the brand message and standards
    • Main focus is on the AquaCal & AutoPilot brands, but will assist with designs for other brands, as requested
    • Stay up-to-date with industry design techniques and the latest design software in order to maintain and improve work
  • Proofing Process
    • Review designs for errors before submitting initial proofs
    • Run spell check and double check mark-ups to ensure all revisions have been made before returning new proofs to project managers
    • Complete projects with 3-4 proofs maximum – the Art Team goal is to minimize the back and forth of proofs and revisions before final print file is requested
    • Continually manage JIRA emails on assigned projects so proofs and revisions are turned around within the deadlines
  • Project Management
    • Communicate with manager and/or Marketing Coordinator on projects assigned to determine the scope of the project and collaborate with them throughout creative process
    • Manage all assigned projects in JIRA, updating daily, and indicate any issues incurred or information missing
    • Assist in maintaining the organization and filing of shared drives as instructed and specified by manager with all project designs, product art, logos and stock photography
  • Marketing Team
    • Assist with all company events as part of the Marketing Team
    • Attend and participate in Marketing Department meetings and Greenlight Sessions
    • Suggest new ideas that encourage departmental and/or company growth
    • Seek and achieve continuous personal and professional improvement

Other Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to learn is a must!
  • Team player mentality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of design experience in both print and digital media
  • Associates degree in Graphic Design preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  •  Social Media experience preferred: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other applications
  • Team player with an excellent work ethic and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess technical ability and willingness to learn new programs and systems
