HOURS: Full-time (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator works closely with logistics, sales, and customers, and completes day-to-day operations and shipping processes summarized below. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, energetic, possess a high level of initiative, and have superior organizational skills. This position provides an opportunity for the right candidate to showcase a variety of skills, be a valuable part of our operations team, and have a variety of growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Provide shipment quotes to clients and team members and communicate updates and other relevant information
  • Schedule shipments as required
  • Create Bills of Lading
  • Review the Open Order report and ensure shipment dates are current
  • Update shipping calendar to ensure orders are scheduled correctly
  • Invoice shipped orders in the accounting system (daily)
  • Mail and email invoices
  • Review invoice report to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure the contact information database is current
  • Process credit card payments and provide Accounting with transaction information
  • Greet walk-in customers and business associates in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Promptly answer and direct incoming telephone calls
  • Enter new call-in leads into Salesforce
  • Maintain the look and feel of the front office
  • Update incoming customer arrival dates
  • Scan and email accounts payable invoices

Skills & Knowledge

  • Must have superior organizational skills
  • Prior experience within the construction industry is preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the changing needs of the department
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent problem-solving and people skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team
  • High level of professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High level of energy
  • Strong commitment to the Team Horner Value System

Education & Training
• High School Diploma
• 1 – 3 years of customer service experience preferred
• 1 – 3 years of construction industry experience preferred
• Administrative experience
